Live shows always have surprises, and there’s nothing like an impromptu guest to keep
Coffee Is For Closers fresh and exciting! That’s just what I was treated to this week as one of my personal champions came to San Diego and joined me this past Monday.
One of the biggest achievements of my professional life was getting my line of ready-to-eat meals and protein bars into the well-known national retailer, Vitamin Shoppe. Michael Martin was instrumental in that endeavor, and he’s been my champion and friend ever since!
Michael joined me on Coffee Is For Closers to share his thoughts on the day’s topic: how to own yourself, stay in your lane, and remember that what others think of you is none of your business.
But let’s be honest: most of us are a lot more worried about being criticized for speaking our truth than we are of failure itself. That’s why the fear of being judged by others is one of the biggest game-stoppers for any entrepreneur.
Being a buyer for a billion dollar company, Michael has seen his share of pitches and presentations. And he’ll be the first to tell you that the most successful entrepreneurs out there don’t let that nagging fear of ridicule stop them from making a pitch at all.
The ones who make it are the ones who show up, do their thing with passion, and accept the feedback they get without taking it personally. And you can do that very thing, too.
