You love what you do. You’re amazing at it. And you want to help as many people as possible and make a BIG impact. Seems like a honorable thing, right?
But sometimes, the harder you try help everybody, the more you wind up helping nobody. Why does this happen?
Chances are your message is too general. You’re trying to appeal to everyone…and it isn’t being heard by anyone.
The truth is that it’s impossible to be all things to all people. But you can be EVERYTHING to the right person. If you know who they are and what they want, that is!
Some people hate the idea of niching down and getting to know their ideal client. It’s true, it can be confusing and stressful. Not to mention sending you into a whirlwind of overthinking.
But if you do it right, it can be a way to rediscover your passion for your work. It can help you remember why you got into business. And it can help you draw in the people out there who are dying to hear YOUR message.
Don’t try to take on the world. Just take on your ideal clients. Once you know who they are, you can get to know them, figure out where they are, and speak to them in the way that only YOU can. And from there help them make their dreams come true.
