Larry Marcus has a long and successful background in media, marketing and finance.  Having served in the capacities of CEO, CFO, and VP Business Affair of several large and small media companies, he is currently Principal of Marcus Strategies, a business consulting practice, the Managing Partner of Marcus Investments as well as Chief Executive Officer of Peak Media Holdings, an investor in television stations.

Co-Founder of River City Broadcasting, owner and operator of ten televisions and thirty four radio stations located in medium to large markets coast to coast, Larry served as its Chief Financial Officer and was instrumental in building it from scratch and managing it through its sale in 1996, generating 100% annual IRRs for seven years.

Larry currently consults and has served as Director of multiple media companies including PBS stations, minority owned groups, both Hispanic and Black, and several other non-media companies as well. Additionally, Larry is an Angel investor for half a dozen early stage start-ups.

In his current semi-retirement mode, Larry is and has been involved with multiple non profits, serving San Diego’s inner city youth, economic environmental impact and hospice care among them.

Born in New York City, Larry received his Bachelors in Business from the City University of New York as well as his MBA in Computer Science.
